What's EAV treatment like?Justin Morais PhD, a practitioner of both conventional acupuncture using needles, as well as electro acupuncture without needles, contributes this article. It is is part of a bigger article on energy medicine, first published in a 1995 issue of The Good Life, which focused on the theme of energy.
What is electro acupuncture treatment like? Nothing. The machine sends such subtle signals that you probably will not notice them, unless you happen to be ultra sensitive. A typical session begins with a check up. You will be asked to hold a copper tube in one hand. Then Justin Morais places a sensor at acupuncture points at the fingertips of your other hand, beside the nails. Then you switch hands. Then he examines points on your toes. At each point, the machine makes a noise. A high-pitched “wheee!” means that the particular organ is over active. A low pitched “whrrr!” means is under active. A healthy noise would be something in between. A meter gives the actual reading, which Justin Morais records. Next comes the actual treatment. You hold one copper tube in each hand, and place your feet on copper plates. Justin Morais programs the machine to either boost or calm down the organs concerned. He sets a few buttons, pushes “start” and there you go. You sit back and relax. If necessary, Justin may suggest regular acupuncture using needles. Sometimes, he combines homeopathy, dipping the needles in homeopathic remedies before inserting them. Once the treatment is over, Justin again tests the points. Chances are, the machine will make more average-pitched sound this time round, “proving” that their treatment works. The real proof, of course, is whether you feel better. Depending on your condition, you may need just one to two treatments, or regular treatment for a few months. |
